A 5-day water-focused trip based on Havelock (Swaraj Dweep), with one night in Port Blair on arrival. You snorkel at Elephant Beach, have a full morning for a beginner scuba dive with a certified dive centre, and have time for a sea walk and jet ski. The dive is planned well before your flight home, as safe-diving rules require.

Day-by-day itinerary
Arrive Port Blair · Cellular Jail light and sound show — Our driver meets you at Port Blair (Sri Vijaya Puram) airport and takes you to your hotel, about 15 minutes away. After lunch on your own, relax at Corbyn's Cove beach, then visit the Cellular Jail museum in the afternoon (closed on Mondays and national holidays). Stay for the included evening light and sound show. Get an early night; the ferry to Havelock leaves in the morning.
Ferry to Havelock · Radhanagar Beach sunset — After an early breakfast, take the ferry from Haddo jetty to Havelock (Swaraj Dweep), about 1.5–2.5 hours. Our representative meets you and takes you to your resort. In the afternoon, visit the dive centre to choose your dive slot and fill in the medical form, then drive about 12 km to Radhanagar Beach for a swim in the lifeguard zone and the sunset.
Scuba try-dive morning · afternoon at leisure — An early start for your beginner scuba dive (optional, at extra cost). The dive centre gives a short classroom and shallow-water lesson, then takes you by boat to a nearby reef for about 30–40 minutes underwater with an instructor beside you the whole time. The whole session takes 2.5–4 hours, and underwater photos and video are usually offered for a fee. Swimming is not needed; the minimum age…
Elephant Beach · snorkelling, sea walk and jet ski — After breakfast, take a boat from Havelock jetty to Elephant Beach, about 20–30 minutes each way. Snorkelling gear and a glass-bottom boat ride are included. Here you can also do a sea walk, about 20 minutes on the seabed wearing an air-supplied helmet, and a jet ski ride; both are optional and paid at the counter. Return to the resort by early afternoon. Boats do not run when the sea is rough.
Ferry to Port Blair · departure — After breakfast, check out and take the morning ferry back to Port Blair, about 1.5–2.5 hours. Our driver meets you at the jetty and takes you straight to the airport, about 20 minutes. Your dive was on Day 3, so you are well past the 18–24 hours divers should wait before flying. Book a return flight leaving after about 2 pm to allow for the ferry.

Visa & entry
No visa or permit needed for Indian citizens visiting Port Blair and Havelock. Carry an original government photo ID (Aadhaar, passport, driving licence or voter ID) for every traveller; it is checked at the airport, at every ferry, at hotels and at the dive centre. For children without Aadhaar, carry a school ID or birth certificate.
Good to know
Scuba is not advised for anyone with heart or lung problems, asthma, epilepsy, recent surgery, ear or sinus problems, or pregnancy. The dive centre will ask you to sign a medical form, and some conditions need a doctor's note.
Do not fly for at least 18–24 hours after diving. Never plan a dive on the day before your flight.
Wear a swimsuit or quick-dry clothes under your clothes on activity days and carry a towel, a change of clothes and a waterproof pouch for your phone.
Do not touch or stand on coral, and do not take shells or coral home; it is illegal.
Mobile data and ATMs are limited on Havelock. Carry enough cash; many water-sports counters prefer cash or UPI.
Mid-May to September is monsoon. Dives, Elephant Beach boats and some ferries may be cancelled at short notice.
Questions travellers ask
Is the scuba dive included in the price?
No. The dive, sea walk and jet ski are optional and paid separately. We book the dive slot with a certified dive centre on Havelock in advance and tell you the current rate when you book.
Can we do scuba if we don't know swimming?
Yes. A beginner try-dive does not need swimming. The instructor stays with you underwater the whole time and controls your depth.
Can children and seniors do these activities?
Children aged 10 and above can try scuba. Snorkelling with a life jacket and the glass-bottom boat are fine for most ages. Seniors can usually do the sea walk, but anyone with heart, lung or blood-pressure problems should check with a doctor first.
Does the price include flights?
No. The package starts and ends at Port Blair airport. There are direct flights from Hyderabad and Chennai; we can book flights from Vijayawada or Hyderabad separately and send you a combined quote.
Is vegetarian food available on Havelock?
Yes. Havelock has several vegetarian and South Indian restaurants, and resorts serve vegetarian breakfast.
