After lunch on your own, relax at Corbyn's Cove beach, then visit the Cellular Jail museum in the afternoon (closed on Mondays and national holidays). Stay for the included evening light and sound show about the freedom struggle.
Day trip to Baratang · limestone caves — A very early start, around 4:00–4:30 am, with a packed breakfast from the hotel. Drive about 100 km north on the Andaman Trunk Road to Jirkatang, where vehicles join a police-escorted convoy through the Jarawa tribal reserve; stopping, photography and any contact with the Jarawa are strictly banned. After a short vehicle ferry, take a speedboat through mangrove creeks to the limestone caves,…
Ross Island and North Bay · Chidiya Tapu sunset — After breakfast, take the boat from Aberdeen jetty (Rajiv Gandhi Water Sports Complex) to Ross Island (Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Dweep), about 15–20 minutes, and walk among the ruins of the old British headquarters, with deer and peacocks roaming free. The same boat continues to North Bay, where you can see coral from a glass-bottom boat or snorkel; water sports there are paid on the spot. Back…
Ferry to Havelock · Radhanagar Beach sunset — After an early breakfast, take the ferry from Haddo jetty to Havelock (Swaraj Dweep), about 1.5–2.5 hours. Our representative meets you and takes you to your resort. In the afternoon, drive about 12 km to Radhanagar Beach, a long white-sand beach, for a swim in the lifeguard zone and the sunset.
Elephant Beach · snorkelling and glass-bottom boat — After breakfast, take a boat from Havelock jetty to Elephant Beach, about 20–30 minutes each way. Snorkelling gear and a glass-bottom boat ride are included; non-swimmers can snorkel in shallow water with a life jacket. Ferry to Neil Island · Natural Bridge and Laxmanpur sunset — After breakfast and check-out, take the ferry to Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep), about 1 hour. End the day with the sunset at Laxmanpur Beach 1.

Visa & entry
No visa or permit needed for Indian citizens visiting Port Blair, Baratang, Havelock and Neil. The Baratang road passes through a protected tribal reserve, so vehicles travel in escorted convoys; your driver handles the paperwork. Carry an original government photo ID (Aadhaar, passport, driving licence or voter ID) for every traveller; it is checked at the airport, the Jirkatang check-post, every ferry and hotels.
Good to know
The Baratang day is long (about 12 hours) and starts around 4 am, with a walk of about 1.2 km each way to the caves on uneven ground. Elderly travellers or families with very small children can skip it and rest in Port Blair instead.
Photographing, filming, feeding or stopping near the Jarawa people on the Andaman Trunk Road is a criminal offence.
Cellular Jail and the Samudrika museum are closed on Mondays, and Ross Island boats usually do not run on Wednesdays. We set the day order around your arrival day.
Mobile data and ATMs are limited on Havelock and Neil. Carry enough cash; UPI works in most places but the network can be slow.
Do not touch or stand on coral, and do not take shells or coral home; it is illegal.
Mid-May to September is monsoon: heavy rain and rough seas, and boat trips may be cancelled at short notice.
Questions travellers ask
Is the Baratang trip suitable for elderly parents?
It is a 12-hour day with an early start, a speedboat ride and a walk of about 1.2 km each way on uneven ground. Healthy seniors usually manage it; if anyone has knee or back problems, they can rest in Port Blair that day.
Can we see the Jarawa tribe on the way to Baratang?
You may pass them on the road, but stopping, photographing or giving them anything is banned by law, with heavy penalties. The convoy rules exist to protect the tribe.
Is vegetarian food available?
Yes. Port Blair and Havelock have many vegetarian and South Indian restaurants, and hotels serve vegetarian breakfast. Neil has fewer choices, so tell us in advance if you need Jain food.
Does the price include flights?
No. The package starts and ends at Port Blair airport. There are direct flights from Hyderabad and Chennai; we can book flights from Vijayawada or Hyderabad separately and send you a combined quote.
What should we buy in Andaman?
Pearl jewellery, shell craft and wooden items made from local timber. Buy from government emporiums such as Sagarika or licensed shops, and keep the bill. Collecting or carrying coral and shells from beaches is illegal.
