Arrive Srinagar · Houseboat · Sunset shikara ride — Our driver meets you at Srinagar airport and takes you to your houseboat on Dal Lake, about 14 km and 30–40 minutes away. A small shikara takes you from the ghat to the houseboat. Srinagar to Gulmarg · Gondola (optional) — After breakfast, check out of the houseboat and drive to Gulmarg via Tangmarg, about 50 km and 1.5–2 hours. Check in and spend the day on the Gulmarg meadow, around the golf course and St Mary's Church. Gulmarg to Pahalgam — After breakfast, drive to Pahalgam via the Srinagar bypass. The trip is about 150 km and takes 4–5 hours. On the way, stop at Pampore for saffron and dry fruits, and at the 9th-century Avantiswami temple ruins at Avantipora (ASI entry ticket). The last stretch follows the Lidder river up to Pahalgam. Check in and spend the evening by the river or in the town market.
Betaab and Aru valleys · Candlelight dinner — A relaxed day in Pahalgam. In the morning, visit Betaab Valley (about 7 km) and Aru Valley (about 12 km). Srinagar cabs are not allowed on these inner roads, so this sightseeing is done in Pahalgam's local union taxis at fixed rates per vehicle, paid directly. Pahalgam to Srinagar · Mughal Gardens — After breakfast, drive back to Srinagar, about 95 km and 2.5–3 hours. Check in, then visit the Mughal Gardens along the Zabarwan hills: Nishat Bagh with its terraced lawns facing Dal Lake, and Shalimar Bagh, built by Emperor Jahangir. If time allows, also stop at Chashme Shahi. Garden entry tickets are paid at each gate. The evening is free for Polo View market or Boulevard Road.
Day trip to Sonamarg — After breakfast, drive to Sonamarg along the Sindh river, about 80 km and 2.5–3 hours. From Sonamarg you can walk or take a pony to Thajiwas Glacier, about 3 km away. Ponies are optional and paid directly, so agree the rate before you start. Zero Point beyond Zoji La is reached only by Sonamarg local taxi at extra cost, and only when the pass is open. Return to Srinagar in the evening.
Departure from Srinagar — After breakfast, check out. If your flight time allows, visit the Hazratbal shrine on the banks of Dal Lake or pick up saffron, walnuts and pashmina for family back home. You will then be dropped at Srinagar airport. There are several security checks at the airport, so plan to arrive 2.5–3 hours before your flight.

Visa & entry
No visa needed — Indian ID proof required. Carry an original photo ID such as Aadhaar, passport or voter ID for both of you. Hotels, houseboats and airport security will check it. Newly married couples whose ID shows different surnames do not need a marriage certificate, but carrying a copy can save questions at some hotels.
Good to know
Prepaid mobile connections from outside Jammu & Kashmir usually do not work there. Postpaid connections work, so carry at least one postpaid number.
Nights are cool even in summer. From November to March, temperatures fall below freezing, so pack thermals, gloves and waterproof shoes. Snow boots and coats can be hired in Gulmarg and Sonamarg.
Pahalgam, Sonamarg and Gulmarg each have local union taxis and pony operators. Fares are fixed per vehicle or per ride, so ask for the rate card before you start.
Gondola Phase 2, Zoji La and some Pahalgam valleys can close at short notice because of weather or security. The day plan may change on the spot.
Carry some cash. Card and UPI payments are common in Srinagar but may not work for ponies, small shops or in the valleys.
Vegetarian food is easy to find in Srinagar, Gulmarg and Pahalgam, and most hotels serve North and South Indian vegetarian dishes.

What is included in the honeymoon part of the package?
A sunset shikara ride on Dal Lake, a night on a houseboat and one candlelight dinner for two in Pahalgam. Room decoration or a cake can be arranged at extra cost if you tell us when booking.
Are flights included?
No, the price is for the land package from Srinagar airport to Srinagar airport. We can quote flights from Hyderabad, Vijayawada or your city separately, with and without the package.
Is the Gulmarg Gondola included?
No. The gondola is optional and tickets are sold online by the J&K Cable Car Corporation. We can help you book it. Phase 2 depends on the weather and often stops in strong wind.
Are lunch and dinner included?
Breakfast is included every day, plus one candlelight dinner. Other dinners at the hotels and houseboat can be added as a supplement on request.
When can we see snow?
December to February is the surest time, especially in Gulmarg. In March and April there is usually snow higher up, at Gondola Phase 2 and around Thajiwas Glacier.
