Resort day · kids' club and the lagoon — A full day at the resort to recover from the journey. Children can join the kids' club's supervised programme, usually treasure hunts, crafts, pool games and mini-disco, while parents relax. Take the safari drive through the African-style reserve to see zebras, giraffes, ostriches and antelopes, then walk around the bird park, the giant tortoise enclosure and the children's play areas. Adventure activities inside the park, such as ziplines, quad bikes and special animal encounters, are optional…

If the family wants one more outing, options at extra cost include a catamaran or speedboat trip to Ile aux Bénitiers from the nearby west-coast jetties, with a stop to look for dolphins in the early morning, a glass-bottom boat, or the Blue Safari submarine in the north, which suits non-swimmers. Otherwise, enjoy a last full day at the kids' club and the beach. Dinner…

Visa & entry
Indian passport holders, including children, do not need a visa in advance for a holiday in Mauritius. A free entry permit is given on arrival by immigration, and the length of stay allowed is well beyond this trip. Every family member needs their own passport valid for the whole stay (we recommend at least 6 months), plus the confirmed return ticket, resort booking and proof of funds. Before your flight, fill in the free All-in-One Travel Digital Form at safemauritius.govmu.org for each traveller and keep the QR codes ready on arrival.
Good to know
Kids' clubs usually take children aged about 3 to 11 or 12; younger children need a parent or a paid babysitter. Ask us about teen clubs if you have older children.
Since 1 October 2025, resorts collect a tourist fee of €3 per person per night from guests aged 12 and above; children under 12 are exempt.
Resort buffets include vegetarian and Indian dishes, and kitchens can prepare plain food for small children on request.
The sun is strong all year. Pack hats, rash guards and reef-safe sunscreen, and beach shoes for coral.
Mauritius uses the UK-style three-pin plug (Type G) and also Type C; carry a universal adapter.
The local currency is the Mauritian rupee (MUR); Indian rupees are not accepted. Cards work at resorts and Casela.
