Arrive Jaipur · Evening at leisure — Our driver meets you at Jaipur airport or railway station and takes you to your hotel, where you get a welcome drink (standard check-in is around 12–2 pm). Rest after the journey. In the evening, visit Birla Mandir, or see Nahargarh Fort's view over the city lights at sunset (about 15 km; entry paid locally).
Jaipur · Amber Fort, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal — After breakfast, drive about 11 km to Amber Fort with your local guide, stopping for photos at Jal Mahal. A jeep takes you up the hill to the fort, where you see the Sheesh Mahal and the palace courtyards. In the afternoon, visit the City Palace and the Jantar Mantar observatory, then stop at Hawa Mahal. Jaipur to Udaipur — After breakfast, drive about 395 km to Udaipur on NH48 (6.5–7 hours), with tea and lunch stops on the way at your own cost. Check in by late afternoon. In the evening, walk to Gangaur Ghat and the lakeside lanes of the old city, where many rooftop cafés look across Lake Pichola.
Udaipur · City Palace, Jagdish Temple, Lake Pichola at sunset — After breakfast, visit the City Palace complex with your local guide, then the Jagdish Temple close by. Have the afternoon free to rest or shop for miniature paintings and silver jewellery. Before sunset, take a boat ride on Lake Pichola past Jag Mandir and the Lake Palace (tickets paid locally; sunset slots fill up, so we help you book ahead).
Fateh Sagar, Saheliyon ki Bari · Sunset at the Monsoon Palace — Take a slow morning. Around midday, visit Saheliyon ki Bari, a garden of fountains and lotus pools, and drive along Fateh Sagar Lake, where you can take a short boat ride to Nehru Park (optional). Visa & entry
No visa needed — carry Aadhaar or another government photo ID for both of you; hotels ask for it at check-in, and a marriage certificate is not required
Good to know
Book a sunset Lake Pichola boat slot as early as possible in November–February; they sell out on weekends and holidays.
Udaipur's old city is hilly with narrow lanes. Comfortable shoes are better than heels for evening walks.
October–March is the best time. December–January nights can drop to 6–8°C, so carry a light jacket.
Vegetarian food is easy to find everywhere, and many lakeside restaurants serve both North and South Indian dishes.
Dress modestly at the Jagdish Temple and Birla Mandir (shoulders and knees covered).
Questions travellers ask
Do you arrange honeymoon extras like room decoration or a candlelight dinner?
Yes, at extra cost. Most hotels can arrange flower decoration, a cake or a lakeside dinner. Tell us when booking and we will add it to your quote.
Why drive from Jaipur to Udaipur instead of flying?
The drive is about 6.5–7 hours on a good highway. Direct flights between the two cities are limited. If you prefer to fly, we can check fares and quote the difference.
Can we stay at a lake-view hotel in Udaipur?
Yes. Lake-view rooms cost more than standard rooms. Ask us to quote a lake-view upgrade for your dates.
Which meals are included?
Breakfast daily. Lunch and dinner are on your own, so you can choose rooftop and lakeside restaurants. Vegetarian food is available everywhere.
Are flights included?
No. The trip starts in Jaipur and ends in Udaipur. We can book flights from Vijayawada or Hyderabad and send a quote with and without flights.
