Visa & entry
Indian passport holders need a US B1/B2 visitor visa, and every family member, including children, needs their own visa. You fill in the online DS-160 form, pay the application fee and attend an in-person appointment at a US consulate in India; most applicants now need an interview, and you should apply in India, where you live. Interview waits are long. In September 2026 the State Department listed waits for a B1/B2 interview of about 12 months in Hyderabad, 11.5 months in Mumbai, 10 months in New Delhi, 7.5 months in Chennai and 6.5 months in Kolkata. Please start the process as early as possible, ideally before fixing your travel dates, and keep checking for earlier slots. The application (MRV) fee is currently USD 185 per person, and a new USD 250 visa integrity fee is being introduced, collected when the visa is issued; we confirm the current fees when you apply. If you already have US visas, check they are valid for your travel dates. Passports should be valid for at least 6 months beyond your stay.
Good to know
Theme park days are long and involve 10–15 km of walking. Bring comfortable shoes, refillable water bottles, ponchos for afternoon showers and a small backpack. Strollers can be hired in the parks.
Florida is hot and humid from May to October, with almost daily afternoon thunderstorms in summer. June to November is the Atlantic hurricane season; we recommend travel insurance that covers trip disruption.
Check ride height limits for your children on the Disney and Universal websites before you go.
Vegetarian food inside the parks is limited but available (veggie burgers, pasta, salads). Orlando's International Drive and Kissimmee have many Indian restaurants.
Tipping is expected: about 15–20% at restaurants and USD 5–10 per person per day for drivers and guides. Sales tax is added at the till.
US power sockets are type A/B at 110 volts; carry a universal adapter.
Questions travellers ask
How long does it take to get US visas for the family?
Interview waits in India are long: in September 2026 they were about 12 months in Hyderabad and 6.5–10 months in other cities. Start the visa process before you plan the trip. We help with the DS-160 forms, appointments and document checklist for the whole family.
Which theme park tickets are included?
One day at Magic Kingdom and one day at one Universal Orlando park. Days 4 and 5 are free so you can add EPCOT, Epic Universe, the Kennedy Space Center or another park at extra cost.
Is this trip suitable for grandparents?
Yes. Parks have wheelchair and mobility scooter hire, shows to sit and watch, and many gentle rides. Grandparents can also rest at the hotel on the free days.
Will we get vegetarian food?
Yes. Dinners are included daily and we arrange Indian or vegetarian meals. Inside the parks there are vegetarian options at most counter-service restaurants.
Are flights included?
No. International flights are quoted separately; most routes fly into Orlando and out of Miami with one connection. We can send you a combined quote.
